Minimum Salary Job Summary/Basic Function

Purpose of position is to contribute to curriculum development for a specific language, as directed or approved by the language dean(s) or person designated by the dean(s). Typical responsibilities are:
-Review existing curriculum, revise and elaborate.
-Create sample lesson plans and materials.
-Create formative assessments.

Minimum Qualifications

-Must be a legal adult
-Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident
-Interest in collaborating
-Knowledge of Concordia Language Villages
-Effective oral and written communication skills in English
-Sufficient proficiency in the target language to carry out job responsibilities
-Willingness to learn more about Concordia Language Villages and/or curriculum/assessment, as needed
-Demonstrated history of being self-driven and self-motivated
-Demonstrated ability to implement and complete a project
-Demonstrated ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

-Previous experience as a summer staff member or other CLV employee, villager, or parent, very highly preferred
-Experience in education, curriculum development, assessment

Going Places

Within six months of graduation, 96 percent of recently surveyed new Concordia graduates reported being employed or attending graduate school. Concordia students have achieved an 88 percent acceptance rate into medical school (in 10 years surveyed). Ninety-three percent of Concordia graduates applying for law school are accepted.
