Minimum Salary 14.30 per hour, 22 hours per week, 8 weeks total Job Summary/Basic Function

Purpose of position is to contribute to marketing efforts for a specific language, as directed or approved by the language dean(s) or person designated by the dean(s). Typical responsibilities are:
-Answer RFIs, track them for follow-through needed.
-Maintain or contribute to the language blog.
-Write or contribute to e-blasts or e-newsletters or both.
-Make calls, for example to villagers’ families, potential villagers, alumni.
-Participate in marketing events.
-Other, as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

a.Must be a legal adult
b.Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident
c.Interest in interacting with people and ability to establish rapport in person, via phone, and via online media
d.Knowledge of Concordia Language Villages
e.Effective oral and written communication skills in English
f.Sufficient proficiency in the target language to carry out job responsibilities
g.Willingness to learn more about Concordia Language Villages and/or effective marketing strategies and techniques, as needed
h.Demonstrated history of being self-driven and self-motivated
i.Demonstrated ability to implement and complete a project
j.Demonstrated ability to work independently

Preferred Qualifications

a.Previous experience as a summer staff member or other CLV employee, villager, or parent, very highly preferred
b.Experience in marketing or public relations
c.Ability to tell the CLV story succinctly and powerfully, through words and/or pictures

    Going Places

    Within six months of graduation, 96 percent of recently surveyed new Concordia graduates reported being employed or attending graduate school. Concordia students have achieved an 88 percent acceptance rate into medical school (in 10 years surveyed). Ninety-three percent of Concordia graduates applying for law school are accepted.
