Job Responsibilities

In order to build an active pool of qualified applicants, Piedmont Technical College is accepting applications for this temporary, part-time position to perform duties at the Lex D. Walters Campus and/or our six county centers in Laurens, Newberry, Edgefield, Saluda, Abbeville, and McCormick during the day/evenings. Applications will be reviewed on an as needed basis. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to assist primary instructor in providing academic support to classroom of up to 48 students in developmental mathematics. Primary instructor is in charge of all academic preparations, grading, etc. in and outside the classroom. These may be day or evening classes.

Minimum and Additional Requirements

Experience in teaching or tutoring mathematics for college level developmental mathematics is required in addition to or in lieu of the degree in mathematics or education with an accompanying bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited university or college.

Preferred Qualifications

Primary preferred education is a bachelor's in mathematics. Secondary preference for education is a bachelor in elementary or secondary education.
