  • Email Me Similar JobsEmail Me This JobTenure-Track Assistant Professor of Psychological ScienceThe Carthage College Department of Psychological Science invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position with open area of specialization. The successful candidate will teach courses in their area of expertise, and in statistics and research methods. They will contribute to a team-taught course in Introduction to Psychological Science and mentor students in senior thesis projects.

    Essential Functions:

    The Department of Psychological Science at Carthage College places strong emphasis on undergraduate research and psychology as a science. In addition to their teaching load (3 per term plus contributions to January Term), the successful candidate will maintain an active laboratory with student co-investigators. There is also an expectation to provide service to the department and the college.

    Required Education and Experience:

    Applicants must have a Ph.D. in psychology by the position start-date (August 1 5th 2019), some college-level teaching experience and the ability to involve undergraduates in research.
