The Audio/Visual Support Coordinator is responsible for all classroom technology used throughout the University as well as supporting events with Audio/Visual equipment. The Audio/Visual Support Coordinator will also provide technical expertise in developing and integrating technology in the classrooms. Technical Services staff work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment which provides services over the phone, through e-mail, in person and self-service. Training and Experience: -High school degree required.
-Two years relative work experience required.
-Associates degree preferred.
-Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for three to five years.
-Management experience preferred.
-CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) certified or will achieve within 6 months of hire.
-Crestron Trained or will achieve within 6 months of hire.
-Knowledge of technical documentation procedures.
-Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs.
-Skill in Audio/Visual equipment operation and troubleshooting
-Skill in the operation of tools, components and peripheral accessories.
-Skill in the identification and resolution of a wide variety of hardware, software, and computer peripheral problems.
-Skill in the provision of customer services.
-Skill in effective oral and written communication.
-Skill in identifying and solving problems.
-Skill in effectively prioritizing and executing tasks in a high-pressure environment.
-Skill in working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Testing Requirements: Illustrative Examples of Work: -Manages and oversees the day to day activities of the Audio/Visual support team.
-Designs, installs and integrates new technology across the University
Manages, updates and ties existing classroom technology into Crestron Fusion.
-Programs Crestron touch panels via AV Frameworks and Crestron coding.
-Manages a SharePoint calendar with all pertinent events and dates.
-Tests and resolves equipment issues.
-Diagnoses and corrects media system issues.
-Manages the servicing, installation and support of classroom technology.
-Manages, coordinates and oversees all technology support for campus events.
-Supervises, schedules and trains student workers and full-time staff as assigned.
-Researches, evaluates and implements software and new classroom technology.
-Implements Crestron Fusion into current AV systems where applicable.
-Trains faculty and staff in the use of hardware, software and classroom technology.
-Makes equipment recommendations for new purchases when necessary.
-Maintains inventory of AV equipment and classroom technology and makes recommendations to the Director of Technical Services as to when Technology should be updated.
-Provides information technology support to students, faculty and staff in person and by telephone; resolves hardware and software issues.
-Assigns work order tickets and oversee staff's work orders.
-Maintains a first-class level of customer service ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner.
