Front counter coverage, answering phones, scheduling appointments for advising and assessment.

Greeting and aiding students and community members with directions and information.

Checking the daily and intercampus mail, and distributing it to the appropriate staff or faculty mailboxes.

Stocking office supplies and forms, keeping the Front Office Counter and Faculty work area organized.

Making student folders, and process student mailings using Microsoft Word.

Accurately file student folders.

Other duties as assigned.

Functional Attributes of Job Duty Minimum Qualifications

Must be awarded work-study funds through financial aid.

Ability to maintain student confidentiality.

Customer Service Skills:
Greet students and community members who come to the front counter in a friendly and professional manner.

Handle phone calls with a clear voice, accurate transfer of calls to other departments or individuals, and take detailed messages for later callback if needed.

Computer and Office Skills:
Ability to schedule appointments accurately, by collecting names (spelled correctly) and accurate phone numbers. Ability to accurately file student folders, and handle mail.

Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
