JOB SUMMARY:

Serves as Assistant Coordinator, Freshman Academic Programs. Reporting to the Director of Freshman Academic Programs, provides support for the Tiger Town Summer Bound program. Performs other duties as assigned.
JOB DUTIES:

40% - Essential - Student Advising and Coaching:
Assists director in providing regular individualized academic and transition support through regular individual meetings with TTSB students; Assists TTSB students in their academic, personal, and social development; Serves as resource, and support person for first year students; Communicates regularly with students and campus partners regarding each student's academic success.

30% - Essential - Ambassador Support:
Designs and implements Summer Program Ambassador training; Plans academic skill building, tutoring, team building, structured study time, and campus events for TTSB summer program participants; Assists with the planning and execution of TTSB student and parent welcome activities; Assists with Orientation and Registration during TTSB orientation session; Assists director with management of student Summer Program Ambassadors; with the approval of the director, hire mentors, direct work and schedules; approves time cards.

30% - Essential - Program Development:
Assists with implementation of TTSB Interest Sessions and On-boarding process; Assists with event coordination (i.e. scheduling, reserving, distribution of materials, etc.). Serves in on call rotation during Summer II for ESP and TTSB programs.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A Bachelor's Degree and 1+ year of relevant experience

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervises Work of Others - Supervises work of others and may offer recommendations for hiring, termination and pay adjustments but does not have responsibility for making these decisions.

BUDGETARY RESPONSIBILITIES

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Master's Degree - Student Affairs, Higher Education, Educational Leadership and 1+ years of student services experience

Standard Hours: 37.5; Band: 04 ($35,000 - $39,000)
