Position Summary: The Development Analyst II is an integral member of the campus fundraising team. He/she will be responsible for conducting online and print research in an effort to identify and qualify prospects (individuals, corporations and foundations) with the capacity to make major gifts to the University. The Development Analyst II will identify, rank, and refer new prospects using a broad range of internal and external data sources, prepare documentation, provide detailed briefings and write and develop detailed profiles and research reports. This position will report directly to the Senior Director of Prospect Research.

Responsibilities: Perform detailed financial analysis and qualitative research on prospective donors using online databases, primary and secondary sources, and other publicly available data Interpret research findings and assess both capacity and inclination for private support from researched individuals Compile research results in accurate, well-written, and sensitively crafted documentation for use by development officer Make recommendations for strategy and assignment based on donor prospect research findings Update records in GAIL database and other software tools as well as hardcopy files with relevant donor prospect information

Qualifications: Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualificaitons.
