Title IX Administrator
The University of North Alabama is accepting applications for the position of Title IX Administrator. This position works closely with student affairs, human resources, academic affairs, athletics, General Counsel, and outside counsel to oversee the University’s compliance and educational efforts with regards to Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972, Clery Act, and Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), as well as other laws and rules related to sexual harassment, sexual misconduct, gender and interpersonal violence, sexual assault, and related policy violations on campus. This position is responsible for fostering a safe and supportive environment that is conducive to academic pursuits and the healthy personal development of all persons. This position is responsible for the development and implementation of educational programs regarding sex and gender discrimination and sexual harassment prevention, and ensuring faculty, staff, and students understand their rights and, where applicable, responsibilities under the law. This role oversees and coordinates investigations, responses, and resolutions to Title IX complaints, and collaborates with campus entities and university leadership to identify and address systemic problems.
Minimum Qualifications include: Master's degree required in higher education, student affairs, counseling, family studies, human resource, social work, or related field; Minimum of three years of experience working with Title IX investigations, policy development, and implementation of education and prevention efforts, required; Three years of experience (post master’s degree) in student conduct adjudication, Title IX, equal opportunity/affirmative action, discrimination and harassment investigation, or related experience, required; and a valid driver’s license is required.
