General Purpose: 
The Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies (F&ES) is a graduate and professional school with a mission to create and provide knowledge and leadership for a sustainable future. Serving approximately 300 Masters students and 75 doctoral students, the School is committed to building on the rich legacy of world-leading scholarship, teaching and engagement to create a sustainable environment. Reporting to the Assistant Dean/Chief of Staff of F&ES, the Director of Enrollment Management provides leadership and vision, administration, coordination and budgetary/financial oversight of the Admissions and Financial Aid Office. The Director of Enrollment Management is the lead enrollment officer for F&ES and is responsible for all aspects of F&ES masters admissions, enrollment and financial aid. The Director affects the School’s educational mission by providing leadership in recruitment, selection and enrollment of outstanding and diverse students. The Director oversees all admissions and financial aid across all F&ES masters programs and works closely with leadership across the school to develop recruitment strategies and goals.

Required Education and Experience: 
Bachelor’s degree in higher education administration or a related field and six years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.

Qualifications:

  • Significant knowledge of graduate school admissions policies and procedures. Firm understanding of current federal financial aid policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability with using data for analysis, reporting and designing admissions processes.
  • Demonstrated commitment to collaboration, responsiveness and professionalism.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and public relations skills. Superior demonstrated written and oral communication, and ability to craft and articulate messages for a variety of audiences.
  • Effective team leader, strong managerial skills and ability to handle a wide range of short and long-term management issues.  Ability to travel, both domestically and internationally.
