18 years of age minimum. High School education or GED

Required Related Experience

Experience in food preparation, dish washing, cleaning, laundry and making beds.

Required License/Registration/Certification

Driver’s License.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and work for long periods of time in a kitchen, lifting of 25 lbs or less. Operate kitchen equipment such as a food slicer and dicer. Operate vacuum cleaner, washing machine. Work with general cleaning chemicals. Comfortable making beds on the top bunk.

Shift

Employee will work 30 – 40 hours per week. May work day or evening shift; weekend hours are typical. Overtime hours may be necessary on some weeks

Job Summary

Prepare food according to instructions given and by health dept. standards; ensure food is stored properly. Work with other cook staff to maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen; General cleaning, including bathrooms, of guest rooms, meeting rooms, common areas, and some outdoor areas. As assigned, provide daily room service of taking out trash, replenishing toilet paper, and replacing towels and soap/shampoo in the guest rooms. Laundry duties as assigned of washing/drying/folding towels & linens. Health insurance may be available.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities

Food preparation for large groups. General cleaning abilities and attention to detail.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience

GED or high school diploma
