The University of Kentucky College of Dentistry is seeking applications for a full-time researcher as a tenure track assistant or associate professor in the Endodontics Division, Department of Oral Health Practice. Qualifications include DMD, DDS, PhD, or BDS Degree; eligibility for an academic dental license through the Kentucky Board of Dentistry; experience in academic dentistry, and experience in dental education.
This position will serve as the principal investigator on multiple research projects. The individual will plan, coordinate, and assist graduate endodontic residents in translational research and serve as the thesis mentor for students. In addition, this individual will assist graduate endodontic students in patient care delivery and be expected to provide academic instruction in the graduate endodontic program. This individual should be proficient in research design, technical writing, and have a history of published manuscripts in appropriate peer reviewed publications. Additional responsibilities include development of a research laboratory capable of continued research in their chosen area of interest that would contribute to the mission of the research at the University of Kentucky and that of the College of Dentistry.
