Job Summary

This is a part time temporary Support Staff position in the Adair County Extension Office, which is located at 409 Fairground Street, Columbia, KY. There will be a high level of interaction with the general public. Duties will include office receptionist, some filing, and providing support for county agents and programs if needed. Duties will also include working with various University approved software programs including, but not limited to: Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Quick Books and Publisher. Applicants should be able to work in a team environment, be able to multi-task, and to function during a high volume of personal interaction with clientele in person and on the phone. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required. Reliable transportation is needed. The Extension support staff will be knowledgeable of the philosophy, goals, objectives, and policies and procedures of the Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service. The Extension support staff will serve the clientele, ensuring that all youth and adults have an equal opportunity to participate in Extension programs regardless of race, color, age, sex, religion, disability, or national origin.
