The Sociology and Anthropology Department at Colgate University invites applications for one or more one-year visiting assistant professor positions in Sociology beginning fall semester 2019. Priority will be given to sociologists with research and teaching interests at the intersection of gender and sexualities, queer-studies, or critical race studies. We will also consider candidates focused on immigration, urban sociology, health, research methods, or media. This position is for one year with additional years possible pending institutional need. Completion of Ph.D. in Sociology is expected prior to or shortly after the date of hire. The successful candidate may be expected to participate in all-university programs, including the Liberal Arts Core Curriculum.
