Job description

The Department of Radiology at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University seeks a full-time board certified/eligible radiologist for a faculty position in Breast Imaging.  The Department of Radiology interprets over (change to correct #) breast imaging exams yearly throughout the Temple Health System and we provide a full spectrum of breast imaging services including: digital mammography, digital breast tomosynthesis, breast ultrasound, breast MR, and image-guided procedures including needle localizations and stereotactic, ultrasound, and MR-guided biopsies.  The position will be based at Temple University Hospital with active participation in resident education and interdepartmental breast tumor board.  The clinical radiology service is based out of Temple University Hospital and also serves the Episcopal Hospital Campus and Northeastern Campus. Rotation through other sites within the system is anticipated. This full-time breast imaging radiologist position is a Monday - Friday obligation with no expected call requirement.

There are approximately 35 FTEs clinical faculty members within Temple University Health System who specialize in the following areas: abdominal imaging, breast imaging, neuroradiology, interventional radiology, interventional neuroradiology, nuclear medicine, musculoskeletal imaging, and cardiothoracic imaging.  The Department has vibrant clinical and educational programs.  The ACGME accredited Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program has been in continuous existence since 1932 and has trained more than 350 radiologists.

Candidate Qualifications          

•             An M.D., D.O., or foreign equivalent with board certification or board eligibility in radiology.

•             Fellowship training in breast imaging preferred but not required. 

•             MQSA certification and expertise in digital mammography, digital breast tomosynthesis, breast    ultrasound, stereotactic biopsies, ultrasound-guided biopsies, and needle localization          procedures required.

•             Ability to obtain a medical license in the Commonwealth of PA
