Job Details
Duties: Provide timely and effective consulting for faculty using Canvas and integrated tools such as Panopto, TurnItIn, PollEverywhere, and Voicethread. Collaborate with other instructional computing staff and faculty to propose innovative solutions to resolve technology issues in order to meet the needs of our clients. Design, test and implement efficient workflows for Remark, Gradescope and other exam processing tools. Administer class mailing lists. Participate in campus-wide groups working collaboratively on effective use of instructional technology. Coordinate provisioning of high-performance computing resources, virtual machines or other advanced IT systems when needed for teaching. Serve as the SASC expert on CampusPress web sites; provision, design and develop web sites for academic departments and programs. Act as webmaster for the SAS Computing web site. Lead the SAS Computing documentation team to manage internal and customer-facing documentation about SAS Computing services.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of work in higher education IT or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to consult with senior faculty across SAS on instructional technology use cases and potential innovations. Must be able to manage long-term web projects to deliver on schedule while meeting the daily demands of the instructional technology consulting queue. Diligence and attention to detail are needed to ensure that our clients have the training and information they need when they need it. The successful candidate will be able to collaborate with staff across SAS and the university to find and design appropriate solutions to instructional technology needs.
