The Institutional Advancement team works to promote UNT Health Science Center's mission to alumni, and the community and to raise private philanthropic funding to support its educational, research, and patient care activities.

Position Details
The Institutional Advancement Department at the University of North Texas Health Science Center is seeking to hire a Community Relations Manager to join our team. This position is responsible for engaging external organizations and high-value community stakeholders with UNTHSC to raise awareness of services, innovation, and centers of excellence at our institution. Serves as an outreach "ambassador" to schools, civic organizations, local government officials, chambers, etc. Works with entire Institutional Advancement team to effectively relate to the community and make contacts to potential donors. Key programs managed are: UNTHSC Speaker's Bureau, local Middle/High School campus tours program, INSIDER Experience campus tours, and Social Media posts for FitWorth and Institutional Advancement.

Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

* Build relationships that promote UNTHSC in ways that enhance our pipeline for funding, research, community health delivery and thought leadership.
* Manage UNTHSC Speaker's Bureau, providing the application/approval process for members, training throughout the year via seminars/special speakers, and facilitating placement and support for their engagements.
* Maintain understanding of institutional advances, priorities and possible experts.
* Coordinates and manages all middle/high school student tours on campus, setting up a calendar, working with school district contacts to arrange visits, and organizing stops and faculty/student participation.
* Management over the INSIDER EXPERIENCE program that brings community leaders to campus 8Xyearly for intensive tour/information exchanges with faculty/researchers in all schools.
* Responsible for social media content, highlighting UNTHSC people/program touching all parts of community.
* Increase awareness of Institute innovations through events, communications and meetings.
* Leverage existing signature events to draw community engagement.

Required Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree and four (4) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
