Position Summary: The Office of Internal Grants and Awards, Post Doc Affairs and Research Personnel within the Office of Research is seeking a motivated, energetic individual to join their team as an Administrative Associate. This position reports directly to the Assistant Director and is responsible for management of program and process operations under the guidance and direction of the Associate Vice President and Assistant Director including, but not limited to, administrative and clerical support for the above offices and for the Associate Vice President for Research. The person in this role will: - Manage the Visiting Researcher/Scholar process, requiring full program knowledge, interpretation and communication with other offices and units on campus. - Manage the Foreign Travel Assistance Program, requiring full program knowledge, interpretation and communication with other offices and units on campus. - Assist the Director and Assistant Director with all other program operations, including Research Awards Program, internal research grant programs, postdoc appointments and continuations, and the annual Research Scientist Promotions process. - Plan and execute special events sponsored by the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs and the Office of Research Personnel. - Serve as backup in the absence of the Assistant Director.

Responsibilities: Visiting Researcher/Scholar: Process incoming VRS questionnaires, database and document management, creation of UGAlDs, troubleshoot access issues and coordinate with EITS when necessary, interpret and enforce policy.

Qualifications: Requires technical knowledge in the field acquired through an apprenticeship, a 2-year degree, or professional certificate. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualificaitons.
