Appointments are normally made at the beginning of the salary range. This is a temporary, full-time, benefited, 12-month, non-exempt position in the Student Financial Services Department.
Position Summary:
Under the supervision of the Student Financial Services Manger, the Student Club Financial Coordinator performs duties that support routine, responsible accounting activities for the university. The Student Financial Services Office serves students, staff, faculty, campus departments, and the general public, providing support and oversight to student clubs or organizations engaged in activities that include: fundraising activities, food sales, guest lecturers, dances, club travel, purchasing, cash handling, merchandise inventory controls, and reimbursements to club members.
Duties:
This position is responsible for reviewing and processing all club purchases, reimbursements, sales, deposits, and maintaining accounting ledgers for all club financial activity. The Coordinator directly supports student organizations by assisting clubs in planning fundraising events while adhering to HSU Clubs and Activities Handbook. The Coordinator provides students organizations with hands-on training in the areas of cash handling, accounting, and best business practices. The schedule is typically Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm, but this position will be required to work some special events outside the normal business hours including some nights or weekends.
