Position Summary:
Botanic Garden. The ASTERS Educator participates in curriculum research, design, and development, schedules and leads inquiry trips, travels to schools to help teachers implement their “Science Lives” trips and provides support in the implementation of those projects. This is a part-time, non-benefited grant funded position working up to 19 hours per week.

Essential Functions

Participates in all aspects of teacher training, including instruction.

Assists with the daily operations including curriculum development, website contributions, scheduling, trip presentation and materials supply.

Georgia Southern University is a Tobacco Free Campus.

Minimum Education Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent

One or more years of related work experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; legally authorized to work in the United States; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment.

Salary Range: $10,949 - $14,120
