Job Details
Eastern Mennonite University seeks applicants for a full-time Dean of Students. The Dean of Students is the senior student life representative and a member of the president’s cabinet, and will report to the Provost. The dean of students is responsible for the co-curricular aspects of learning and living at EMU and works collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff to maintain a safe and healthy learning environment. The dean delegates responsibility and supervises nine student related departments. The dean has final responsibility for the university’s student handbook and standards of conduct. Master’s degree required. PhD preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in higher education administration, student development, human development, or related field. Knowledge of student development theory and practice, as well as clear understanding of the principles and purposes of student affairs administration preferred.
