Savannah State University seeks qualified applicants for Web Developer. This position has a key role in planning, building and maintaining Savannah State University's websites and web applications. The Web Developer supports academic and non-academic units with their web-related projects. This positon writes performant and secure front-end and back-end code; and is expected to use current best practices across a variety of technologies. Creates, implements, and maintains intuitive and functional web design; writes high quality, SEO -focused front-end code using HTML5, CSS and JavaScript. Writes and maintains web applications and API's built in .NET; administers CMS and hosting environments. May be directed to perform job related tasks other than those specifically delineated in this description. Salary competitive and commensurate with education and experience.

A Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field with at least three years of relevant experience preferred. Deep understanding of web standards and best practices; strong knowledge of general web development techniques/ concepts such as SEO, analytics and accessibility. Familiarity with developing API's in C#; experience with Azure is a plus. Familiarity with various content management systems including Cascade Server and DotNetNuke; an in-depth understanding of relational databases including MSSQL & Oracle; experience with JavaScript including frameworks and libraries like Angular and JQuery. Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS, and Bootstrap. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, data networks and web security; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Background and/or credit check required.
