Job Description Summary
This is a part-time, seasonal position and is not benefits eligible.

The Men's Ultimate Frisbee Assistant Coach is responsible for the recruitment, selection and operation of the team in conjunction with the Head Coach and team's executive board. The coach is required to schedule and be present during all practices and tournaments, ensuring all safety standards as defined by USA Ultimate and Bentley University are met in full.

Essential Duties

Make appropriate decisions regarding the safety and playing ability of team members. Schedule practices and games in accordance with USA Ultimate rules and Bentley policies.

Attend all practices and games.
Represent Bentley University in a manner that is consistent with the mission of the University.

Ensure all team members are in good academic standing, have completed and filed the appropriate paperwork with Student Programs & Engagement (Anti-Hazing, travel forms, Liability and Indemnity waivers).

Be available to team members to counsel on matters relating to Men's Ultimate, and team morale.

Meet as needed with Student Programs & Engagement and Athletics staff.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor Degree
Experience playing and/or coaching Ultimate Frisbee, preferably in a University club sport program.
Must be able to effectively demonstrate and instruct technique and skill to team members.
Experience working with an undergraduate population or traditional university aged students.
First Aid and CPR training is required.
Certification as a coach with USA Ultimate is desirable.

Work Environment
Coach must be present at all practices and tournaments, many of which occur on weekends or evenings.

Bentley University requires references checks and may conduct other pre-employment screening.
