Job Description
The Food Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire a Part-Time/Hourly Driver to join their team. The Driver will provide service and assistance under the supervision of food service staff and/or management. An employee in this class generally has no supervisory responsibilities. Responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to:

* Delivering hot boxes and other food items to locations on and off Campus.
* Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
There are no minimum education or experience requirements. The following knowledge, abilities and skills are required:

* Ability to follow oral and written instructions
* Ability to maintain records and complete forms accurately.
* Ability to apply mathematical concepts to complete tasks (example: collecting cash and making change.)
* Knowledge of the care and use of food service equipment and kitchen utensils.
* Knowledge of health hazards in food preparation and service and necessary precautionary measures.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
* Ability to perform work involving standing, stooping, lifting, and use of utensils and equipment relating to food service operations.
* Knowledge of safety and security precautions appropriate to work performed.

Preferred Qualifications
The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications:

* Ability to operate vans and box trucks in a variety of weather and traffic conditions.
* Ability to develop plans to resolve issues in a proactive manner.
* Good driving record.
