Postdoctoral Research Associate
The condensed matter spectroscopy group at Princeton University invites applications for multiple Postdoctoral Research or more senior positions to work on Scanning Tunneling Spectroscopy (STS) and Angle-Resolved-Photoemission Spectroscopy (ARPES) based studies of Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) grown thin films of correlated superconductors, topological and magnetic quantum materials. The successful candidates will carry out MBE+STS+ARPES experiments at Princeton University and at several national laboratories including at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. The successful candidates will have a strong research and publication record and must have a Ph.D in physics or related disciplines. Prior experience with film growth of high Tc superconductors and UHV/Cryogenic Techniques or with first-principle methods (FP/DFT) and/or other forms of electronic and magnetic structure theory and calculations is preferred. Appointments are typically for one year with the possibility of annual renewal (for a maximum of three years) upon mutual agreement. To apply for these positions please go to https://www.princeton.edu/acad-positions/position/9741You will be asked to upload (1) a recent CV, (2) publications list, (3) a research statement, and (4) contact information for four referees, who will be asked to provide letters of support. Questions about these positions can be addressed to Prof. Zahid Hasan ([email protected] ). Consideration of the applications will begin on January 1st , 2019 and will continue until the positions are filled. This position is subject to the University's background check policy.
