Responsible for admitting students and providing individualized, proactive academic counseling, accurate and timely information, and other support services to Metropolitan College campus-based students. This population includes: prospective, current, and returning domestic and international, degree and non-degree students, academically at risk students, former BU students, and current non-MET students. Oversees advising and admissions for prospective international degree and non-degree students, and maintains relevant connections with International Admissions and the International Students & Scholars Office. In addition, determines eligibility, processes, and approves up to 120 MET Community College and Parent academic scholarships each academic term, coordinates the actual award with the universitys Office of Financial Assistance, and communicates the awards and students academic progress to the various sending institutions. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, auditing and certifying students for graduation, assisting with recruiting efforts, attending METs Open Houses and other venues, as well as coordinating the annual Deans Reception and co-coordinating Student Orientations. Serves as advisor to METs National Honor Society Chapter and assists with MET Commencement planning and execution.

Required Skills

B.A./B.S., Masters Degree preferred. Professionalism, negotiation and problem-solving skills, strong organizational, student services and communication skills, the ability to multi-task, and high attention to detail.
