The Position

The Office of Technology at Lewis University invites applications for an Executive Director, Infrastructure Services, to provide leadership & vision to the Infrastructure Services department and be responsible for the overall management and administration of technology services and network infrastructure for the university. In addition, this position will collaborate with a diverse university community to develop, implement, and support telecommunications resources and network resources that will support the university’s mission, goals and objectives. 

The Executive Director will develop and implement a plan to advance the portfolio of the University’s enterprise infrastructure resources, cultivate an environment of continual growth for staff, and be responsible for the university’s LAN, WAN and various telecommunication systems.  This is an outstanding opportunity for a strategic leader who wants to be at the forefront of change and new ways of thinking.  Lewis University serves a diverse student population and community and we invite applications from individuals that embody a commitment to diversity.

Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree in information technology, computer science, information science, or a related field. Position requires a minimum five years of experience in higher education with progressively responsible positions in technology support and services. Management experience including systems operations, software development and work with advanced technologies utilized in the academic environment. Candidate must understand Microsoft operating systems in a physical and virtual environment. Understanding of networking concepts and multi-user environments is required. Ability to understand hardware concepts and resolve hardware/software conflicts during installations. Candidate must have proven leadership and management abilities; and excellent communication, planning, and organization skills. Candidate must be able to work as a member and leader of a team. Flexibility in work scheduling is required.
