TheOffice of Alumni Relations has an opening for the position ofAssistant Director of Alumni Relations , above grade 12. I. Basic Functions:Reporting to the Director of Alumni Relations, the Assistant Director of Alumni Relations is responsible for managing alumni programs and events - with a focus on digital communication and young alumni -that strategically aim at engaging AUB alumni around the world. II. Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or equivalent. Master’s degree in a related field is a plus.Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in a related field.Strong understanding of the digital environment and social media. Experience with Social tools (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Flickr, etc.) and metrics analysis of these tools.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a complex environment, but also to work independently and without close supervisionOutstanding organizational and management skillsDemonstrated ability to relate and work with an ethnically diverse constituency of donors, alumni, friends, faculty, staff, and studentsKnowledge and/or experience in web design, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, illustrator, etc. is a plusDemonstrated knowledge of computers, the Internet and database managementExcellent oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsDemonstrated analytical and strategic thinking capabilitiesAbility to work both independently and as part of multiple teamsExperience serving as a volunteerEvents planning experienceAbility to travel and work evenings and weekends as neededAbility to organize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously with close attention to detail and prioritization to meet deadlinesAbility to work cooperatively and respectfully with all types of volunteers
