TheOffice of Alumni Relations has an opening for the position ofAssistant Director of Alumni Relations , above grade 12. I. Basic Functions:Reporting to the Director of Alumni Relations, the Assistant Director of Alumni Relations is responsible for managing alumni programs and events - with a focus on digital communication and young alumni -that strategically aim at engaging AUB alumni around the world. II. Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or equivalent.
  • Master’s degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Strong understanding of the digital environment and social media. Experience with Social tools (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Flickr, etc.) and metrics analysis of these tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a complex environment, but also to work independently and without close supervision
  • Outstanding organizational and management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to relate and work with an ethnically diverse constituency of donors, alumni, friends, faculty, staff, and students
  • Knowledge and/or experience in web design, Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, illustrator, etc. is a plus
  • Demonstrated knowledge of computers, the Internet and database management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking capabilities
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of multiple teams
  • Experience serving as a volunteer
  • Events planning experience
  • Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed
  • Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks simultaneously with close attention to detail and prioritization to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work cooperatively and respectfully with all types of volunteers
