TheFacilities Planning & Design Unit (FPDU) has an opening for the position ofArchitect , above grade 12. Since this provides an opportunity for promotionfrom within, please circulate this information and/or post it in your area of jurisdiction so that those interested and having the minimum qualifications may apply not later thanJanuary 21, 2019.

I. Basic Functions:Responsible for ensuring timely delivery and cost effective Architectural design and construction services with a high level of quality to AUB projects. Have the ability to draw 3D visuals, coordinate well with internal and external teams and report on the activities of the contracted consultants and contractors with the respective AUB teams. II. Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture with a minimum of 5 years of directly related experience.
  • Good familiarity with commonly used word processing, spreadsheet, database software packages, and Auto CAD, Photoshop and 3d rendering software like 3ds max or similar
  • Excellent knowledge in design and drawing skills.
  • Good methodical, logical approach with excellent analytical and negotiating skills.
  • Knowledge of engineering & architectural design principles, codes and standards (each within his field of specialty)

    AUB currently offers more than 120 programs leading to the bachelor's, master's, MD, and PhD degrees. The University became coeducational in 1922; its student body is 50 percent male and 50 percent female. The language of instruction is English (except for courses in the Arabic Department and other language courses). The student faculty ratio is 13 to 1.
