Position Description: The Department of Computer Science at the University of Chicago invites applications from qualified candidates for faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor. The University of Chicago is in the midst of an ambitious, multi-year effort to significantly expand its computing and data science activities including a new, state-of-the-art home for the Department of Computer Science that opened this year. Candidates with research interests in all areas of computer science will be considered. However, applications are especially encouraged in all aspects of AI and Machine Learning, Data Science and Analytics, Security, Human-Computer Interaction, and Visual Computing.

Candidates must have demonstrated excellence in research and a strong commitment to teaching. Completion of all requirements for a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field is required at the time of appointment.
