Assistant Dean, Undergraduate Admission
The Assistant Dean deals with all aspects of admissions/recruiting; interviewing, high school visitations, college day/night programs, application review, travel domestically and special projects. Evening and weekend hours may be required in support of special projects, travel and events. Travel required. Valid driver's license required. Candidates must be able to organize and handle all aspects of administration and adhere to the rules and regulations of Hofstra University, the Colonial Athletic Conference and the NCCA.
Bachelor's degree required. One year admissions experience with knowledge of both international and domestic recruitment preferred. Candidate should possess strong communication skills both oral and written, as well as strong interpersonal, organizational and administrative skills. Familiarity with computerized admissions and financial aid systems, such as Ellucian Banner, as well as a working knowledge of PC-based word processing and spreadsheet programs will be advantageous.
