Job Details

The Albion College Department of Athletics invites applications for the position of part-time assistant football coach. This is a 5-6 month part time position with employment beginning as soon as possible.  Albion College offers 21 intercollegiate sports as a NCAA Division III liberal arts institution and a member of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association.  This position will be responsible for supporting the Head Coach in coaching Albion College’s junior varsity and varsity football teams.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: a) create and implement practice and game plans, b) breakdown film and provide scouting reports, c) maintain working knowledge of NCAA, MIAA, and Albion College policies and procedures,  d) provide instruction to student-athletes through practice or film review, e) other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Offensive Coordinator.

FLSA Classification: Salaried / Exempt / Academic Administrative

Status: Part-Time

Duration: Length of Traditional and Non-Traditional Playing Season (20-24 weeks per year)

Benefits: This position is not eligible for benefits.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience in collegiate athletics as a coach, player, or student manager
  • Must have a valid, or be eligible to obtain, a Michigan driver’s license and clearing initial and periodic driving record checks
