Position Summary:

Reporting to the Director of Rehab Services the Educator develops, coordinates, organizes, supervises, and implements clinical education and staff development programs in the Department of Rehabilitative Services. Serves as the department's liaison to hospital and community groups and other institutions for educational matters and implement appropriate action after consultation with higher level physical therapists. Provides input to supervisors regarding staff therapists' clinical teaching skills. Plans, organizes and implements marketing for Rehab Services, and coordinates community relations and patient services, in addition to providing clinical care as a therapist. When providing clinical care as a therapist, the Physical Therapist II provides a full range of physical therapy services including evaluation, treatment planning, therapeutic interventions, and discharge planning.

Salary Range:

Rate Minimum $80,000.00 Maximum $144,300.00

Required Qualifications:

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Basic Life Support

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

If assigned to work with infants and children aged 0 to 21, CCS paneling/approval will be required within one year of hire if qualified for CCS paneling requirement

Minimum 5 years experience as a licensed physical therapist

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Physical Therapy License or proof of eligibility from California Board of Physical Therapy
