Position Summary:

The incumbent is responsible for managing all facets of talent acquisition activity for UC Irvine Medical Center which includes developing and executing talent acquisition plans, providing internal and external market intelligence to ensure competitive advantages to deliver an effective talent acquisition strategy, and leading and coaching the talent acquisition team. Develop understanding of workforce planning and demand to assimilate resources to meeta the current and future needs of the organization. Partner with UCI HR colleagues across the UCI enterprise on initiatives that drive positive change and enhanced employee engagement. Build and develop excellent working relationships with client and key stakeholders; develop thorough understanding of business plans to identify resourcing requirements. Provide consultancy in support of business changes, and recommend strategies to meet business staffing plans.

Required Qualifications:

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the organization

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Bachelor Degree in related field or equivalent education and experience

Demonstrated ability to build client relationships with client contacts at all levels of an organization

Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise and motivate staff

Demonstrated experience using of a variety of sourcing techniques, including social networking, internet, and other database searches

Excellent knowledge of recruiting techniques and employment policies and procedures, including all applicable EEO and ADA regulations

Exceptional communication, interpersonal, consultative and negotiation skills as well as presentation, time management, decision making, organizational, and problem solving skills

Experience in selling candidates on the merits of a career with the organization

Expertise in developing and presenting recruitment strategy plans to clients

Expertise in using advanced search techniques in order to mentor and guide a team of Recruiters in order to build efficiencies and foster a strong team environment

Interviewing skill to quickly and accurately assess an individual's qualifications for a position

Minimum 5 years' professional Recruiting and/or Human Resources generalist experience

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Technical skills sufficient to effectively use MS Word, Excel, HRIS databases, applicant tracking systems, internet sourcing systems

Preferred Qualifications:

Current PHR or SPHR Certification

Experience recruiting in a healthcare environment

Previous experience in managing a team of recruiters

Recent experience with PeopleSoft Talent Acquisition Management Systems
