Purchasing Coordinator


This position is only available to current UCI employees.

The incumbent reports directly to the Department Administrator of Neurobiology & Behavior, oversees the daily activities of the Purchasing for the Department, and acts as a liaison among, UCI Purchasing and Risk Services, and Accounting. With delegated authority for purchases up to $5,000.00, the incumbent processes requisitions of all materials, supplies, and services for assigned faculty and assures all items and services are purchased in accordance with specifications and requirements. The incumbent has responsibility for policy analysis/interpretation and independent problem solving responsibilities that require on-going interaction with vendors, all levels of agency administrators, University faculty, and staff. The incumbent serves as primary contact and facilitator for all department purchases, reimbursements, disbursements, space, inventory and equipment needs.

Salary: Hourly $23.58 - $32.06
Total Hours: 8-5, M-F
