Research Services Librarian

Marist College’s James A. Cannavino Library seeks a full-time Research Services Librarian to provide research services to faculty and students both individually and in group settings in multiple formats at multiple locations, teach information literacy skills to students and faculty, serve as a liaison to assigned departments, and participate in the professional work of the library by assisting with the development and implementation of policies and procedures.

Qualifications

A Master’s Degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science and 1-3 years relevant experience are required. 

Preferred qualifications include

  • Experience with Springshare products, shared documents and forms, and Camtasia or other screen capture or video editing Software.
  • Experience with classroom instruction.
  • Interest in business reference resources.

The James A. Cannavino library at Marist College is truly the heart of campus, both physically and academically.  Librarians and staff work collaboratively to support teaching and student research through our collections, extensive instruction program, and online course pathfinders.  Librarians engage with the campus community through programming, outreach and committee services.  Students consistently rate library facilities and services as some of the best the campus has to offer.
