The College of Business Administration (COBA) at Sam Houston State University (SHSU) is seeking applicants in the area of Marketing. Duties will include teaching, both face-to-face and on-line, graduate and undergraduate classes in the area of marketing, conducting research and publishing in scholarly journals, and providing services to the department, college, university, and appropriate professional organizations. Applicant must have an interest and competency in emerging areas such as digital marketing and marketing analytics. We seek individuals who are excellent teachers and who can bring experience-based credibility to the classroom while also advancing the increasing research reputation of the department and the college. Applicants must qualify as Scholarly Academic under AACSB standards (as defined by SHSU’s COBA) and show evidence of ability to maintain that qualification.
Educational Requirements for the PositionPhD in Marketing from an AACSB accredited university; ABD considered.
Experience Required for the PositionCandidate must have classroom experience. Industry experience is a plus.
Other Requirements for the PositionIndividual will typically teach 9 hours per semester, engage in research, and support the college through service. Candidate must demonstrate the ability to publish in peer reviewed journals.
