Position Summary

The Learning Management Systems (LMS) Analyst plays a key role in administering and ensuring the effective functioning of NYU’s talent systems including the Learning Management System, Survey Tools, and associated processes.  S/he develops and provides metrics related to professional development and recruitment, troubleshoots and brings to resolution issues related to use of the LMS and prepares and updates knowledge base articles and FAQs related to system use.  The Learning Systems Analyst also manages NYU’s relationship with various LMS vendors.  S/he prepares and distributes communications that market professional development to NYU employees.

Qualifications

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree.

 

Required Experience:

At least 3 years relevant experience working with Learning Management systems or tools, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Exceptional communication skills including superior verbal and written communication. 
  • Ability to communicate with individuals of all levels with confidence and poise. 
  • Strong professionalism, tact and business sense.
  • Excellent organization skills including attention to detail and follow up. 
  • Ability to be objective, detail-oriented, juggle multiple tasks, and work well under pressure. 
  • Team-oriented.  
  • Advanced proficiency with all Microsoft Office Suite software including Access. 
  • Knowledge of learning management systems. 
  • Ability to learn Captivate and other online authoring tools. 
  • Experience working with and updating websites.

Preferred Education:

Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field.
