Department Overview
The Lifelong Learning & Community Engagement Department at the University of North Texas houses three programs: OLLI at UNT, the UNT Retirees Association, and the Chief Executives Round Table. OLLI at UNT is a lifelong learning program with courses, events, and trips designed by and for adults 50 and better. The UNT Retiree Association (UNTRA) acts as a link between retirees and the continued growth of UNT. The Chief Executives Roundtable (CERT) is a business and social networking organization for area CEOs and is sponsored by the UNT System Chancellor, Lesa Roe.

Job Description
The Lifelong Learning & Community Engagement Department at the University of North Texas is seeking to hire an Office Support Associate to join our team. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

* Screening and routing incoming calls and correspondence, responding independently and routing mail within the office.
* Greeting visitors and serving as an initial point of contact for a variety of administrative tasks.
* Providing a variety of routine confidential administrative tasks such as: handling routine correspondence, scheduling rooms or appointments, maintaining files and other documentation, entering time, ordering office supplies, providing project assistance, and assistance with the coordination of events.
* Providing support to the office/area and being a resource to assist in the resolution of various administrative matters.
* Participating in identifying and recommending improvements for administrative procedures, as necessary.
* May assist with collection of data and the preparation of materials for meetings and conferences and provide assistance to the completion of reports.

Minimum Qualifications
The successful candidate will possess a High school diploma and three years of moderately responsible and varied office administration or business management experience; or any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training. The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are required:

* Advanced customer service skills.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Knowledge of accounting/budgeting procedures.
* Ability to work under pressure, to adjust to constant changes, to handle multiple tasks, and to coordinate the work of others.
* Ability to keep complex records, to assemble and organize data of complex nature, and to prepare and submit reports in acceptable formats.
* Ability to conceptualize, plan and organize multiple programs and assignments effectively.
* Ability to work on complex and confidential tasks utilizing judgment, tact, and resourcefulness.
* Skill in developing and maintaining good working relationships.
* Knowledge of policies, practices, procedures and terminology of assigned function.
