Rhodes College invites applications and nominations for the Head Volleyball Coach with outstanding leadership skills, who can recruit, mentor, motivate and teach student-athletes. Guided by the Rhodes Vision, the Head Volleyball Coach should build a sense of community and enthusiasm around the volleyball program by engaging the student body, alumni, parents and fans. Strong relational skills with internal and external constituents are critical. This position coordinates all phases of women’s intercollegiate volleyball program and responsible for a secondary duty as assigned by Director of Athletics. Other duties include participating in development and fundraising activities with various constituents and/or other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics. This position requires flexibility to travel and work weekends and evenings when necessary. This is a full-time 12 month position.Required Education
Bachelor’s DegreeRequired Qualifications
Must have Volleyball coaching experience at either the high school or college level. Must have strong organizational, supervisory and programming skills for coordinating SAAC duties. Must communicate effectively with all types of people and establish and maintain a strong working relationship with students, parents, alumni, faculty, staff and other college personnel. Must have the ability to work responsibly with minimal supervision. Must have knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Valid driver’s license required.

Exerting up to 40 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Position involves both inside sedentary work and work on different fields and on other fitness environments while coaching and training situations with student-athletes. Lifting required (ie., set-up of scorers’ table, etc.), some manual labor is expected.
