Student Engagement Coordinators are charged with developing and implementing a plan that engages and informs current and prospective students, parents, community members, and high schools about LCC. This position will cultivate relationships to educate constituents at middle schools, high schools, adult and alternative education programs, community agencies and other market segments about the value of attending LCC.   

This position will identify, develop and maintain relationships with various organizations to recruit prospective students for admission to LCC. In addition to high-school students, the Engagement Coordinators will also identifynon-traditional students, for admission to LCC by forming partnerships with businesses. Through these partnerships, the Student Engagement Coordinator will recruit prospective students for admission to LCC for the purpose of advancing employee career opportunities through the College’s degree-granting majors, four-year university transfer options, or certification programs.

Student Engagement Coordinators are responsible for establishing, coordinating, and implementing college recruitment and enrollment related programs designed to enhance a student-centered approach to service. Plan, direct, and manage enrollment and recruitment activities such as College Day & Night programs, open houses, orientation, representation of the college at community events, and onboarding of new students. Ensure continuity of service throughout the enrollment process by collaborating with other departments and programs at LCC.

Required:

Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher education required or an equal combination of education and experience.

Ability to travel and maintain a valid driver’s license required.

Preferred:

Recruitment experience preferred.

Higher education/Student Affairs experience preferred.

Demonstrated experience in public speaking, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills preferred.
