The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions in a department focused on using a variety of approaches (biochemistry, molecular genetics, bioinformatics, and genomics) to address important biological problems with relevance to human health. Areas of research interest include, but are not limited to, Metabolic Biology, Gene Regulation, and Cell-Cell Communications. Our institution’s location close to the NIH, Children’s National Health System, and other institutions provide outstanding opportunities for collaboration. Opportunities are also available to collaborate with colleagues in the George Washington Cancer Center.

Additional responsibilities include engaging in the educational programs of the department and service to the institution. Appointments will be made at a rank (Assistant/Associate Professor) and salary commensurate with experience and include a competitive start-up package.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities: Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree (or equivalent) in an appropriate discipline with a strong publication record and a robust research program.
