Short Term - Coaching
Part-time/temporary assistant coach positions offer flexible hours and the opportunity to assist a diverse group of students-athletes in achieving their educational goals.
This part-time position is on an as need bases, and applicants should live within commuting distance to Orange County.
- Assists with general coaching duties; such as assisting with organization and supervision of team activities, practices and logistical support of team operations
- Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics in athletics.
- Maintain current knowledge in the subject matter areas.
- Fulfill professional responsibilities of a part-time/temporary coach in the athletic department.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Assignments may include day, evening, weekend, on-line and/or off-campus classes.
Must possess a combination of education and experience equivalent to:
- Valid California Community College instructor credential appropriate to the subject per Education Code 87355 (issued prior to July 1, 1990); or,
- Any degree; and
- Two years of professional experience that is directly related to the coaching assignment.
- Or, any combination of education and experience that would meet the required equivalent qualifications.
- Experienced coaching in the area of interest
- Knowledge of CCCAA and OEC compliance and conference rules, and an understanding of NCAA edibility.
This is a CONTINUOUS recruitment for an applicant POOL to fill part-time, temporary, hourly assignments on an as-needed basis. Departments or Divisions will refer to the POOL of applications on file to fill temporary assignments as the need arises.
