Posting Information: The Department of Anthropology and Sociology at Western Carolina University invites applications for a 9-month fixed term Instructor of Sociology to begin August 1, 2019. Application review will begin in early February 2019 and the position will remain open until filled. Position contingent upon funding. The successful candidate will have a Master's or Doctoral degree in Sociology with a related interest in medicine and health. They will contribute to the university's Integrated Health Sciences degree program, Sociology degree program, and Liberal Studies Program by teaching Medical Sociology and Introduction to Sociology or Social Problems. The instructor position carries a 4-4 course load with some service expectations. Preference will be given to candidates with related teaching experience. Minimum Training & Experience Requirements: Master's degree in Sociology
Preferred Qualifications: PhD in Sociology with a related interest in medicine and health
