Position Summary:

Incumbent independently performs a wide range of administrative and analytical functions related to the Medical Center's Risk Management and Regulatory Compliance programs including independent administration of the University's self-insurance program and the Legal Subpoena process. Serves as a liaison to local law enforcement, District Attorney's Office and other public investigatory agencies. This position will additionally support the Director and the Regulatory Compliance Programs Manager in coordinating the Consolidated Accreditation & Licensing (Joint Commission) and other regulatory site surveys. Salary Range:

Rate Minimum $22.70 Midpoint $30.05 Maximum $37.40

Required Qualifications:

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the HealthSystem

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and direction

Bachelor‘s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in risk management or regulatory compliance

Demonstrated experience working with Microsoft Office applications

Demonstrated experience working with physicians, faculty, managers and/or high-level administrative staff to accomplish established outcomes

Excellent PC skills to design and maintain custom databases, produce reports, and capture and manipulate data

Excellent judgment for decision-making requirements

Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to develop written summaries and reports and author letters to external contacts

Excellent organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and ability to coordinate multiple assignments/projects

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

High degree of professionalism to recognize the need for discretion and maintain confidentiality

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Resourcefulness to identify and search for information that is not readily available

Strong analytical skills to effectively comprehend complex system reports and analyze an array into an actionable form

Strong organizational and prioritization skills to lead projects and manage diverse workload within assigned timeframes

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of UC policies and procedures

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms

Knowledge of laws regarding subpoena process
