The Position

As Department Chair, the individual will promote academic quality, support recruitment and retention efforts as well as supervise instruction and advising, schedule classes, and respond to student concerns.  Duties as the Department chair also include: coordinating assessment, program review, and curricular revision; supervising and evaluating faculty, program directors, and staff in the department and building and maintaining mutually beneficial interdisciplinary relationships with other departments and/or colleges and with external partners.

As Associate Professor, the individual will teach a variety of accounting courses, at both the undergraduate and graduate levels; 12 credit hour teaching load per semester.  The faculty member must maintain office hours, assist students and foster positive interaction with colleagues and external parties.

Minimum Qualifications

PhD or DBA in Accountancy. Acceptance into a doctoral program in Accounting.

Preferred Qualifications

PhD in Accountancy. CPA or CMA Professional Licensing.
