Job Details
Tandon Online works with academic departments and programs on online learning initiatives at the Tandon School of Engineering, including online degree programs, courses, MOOCs, and non-credit programs. Our course development team brings a quality- and student-centered approach to the creation of online courses and experiences, always seeking to represent the forefront of online learning.
The Educational Technologist position works with instructors and instructional designers to design and develop online courses (for-credit and non-credit/continuing education) for the Tandon School of Engineering, ensuring high quality course materials are created and courses fulfill their objectives while providing a quality student experience. This is accomplished through the application of video recording and production best practices, knowledge of educational technology tools and systems, and effective identification and fulfillment of training and support needs.
QualificationsRequired Education:Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a field related to media productionRequired Experience:
At least two years in the following:-A/V recording, mixing & mastering
-Lighting Design
-Familiarity and/or competency with at least two of Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop and Illustrator
-Familiarity with learning programs or other educational technologies
Preferred Experience:
At least two years in the following:
-Javascript, CSS & HTML knowledge and ability
-Project management experience
-Communication and planning experience
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:-A passion for finding innovative technological solutions to pedagogical challenges
