Position SummaryThe position will be responsible for internal and external communication strategy and initiatives such as developing digital marketing and branding strategy for the Financial Engineering MS program including writing, creating, and publishing content across multiple digital platforms; web; social media and multimedia channels, ensuring adherence to the University and the school’s brand and identity rules. The position will conduct outreach and foster relationships with peer academic programs and ranking institutions to enhance program visibility. In addition, the position will serve as the primary contact for academic advisors from other departments and will collaborate with the team responsible for the day-to-day academic operations in the department as needed.QualificationsRequired Education:Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field.Preferred Education:Master’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.Required Experience:3 - 5 years communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, digital media, or equivalent combination preferably in academic institution. Must include experience in creating and managing content in digital space including website, blogs, social media, multimedia content, and other online platforms.Preferred Experience:Related experience at a college, university, or nonprofit organization is preferred.Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Must have strong and polished interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. Thorough knowledge of digital marketing and experience using multiple platforms and technologies. Ability to work collaboratively across organizational lines. Knowledge of online marketing and recruitment process, including web content management systems. Experience in measuring and monitoring digital marketing and how analytics can be used to develop marketing and recruitment strategies. Experience working with and managing external vendors as well as internal stakeholders. Proficiency in MS Office and knowledge of other PC/Mac programs. Position demands excellent attention to detail, effective communications, team collaboration and occasionally working outside regular business hours.Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Proficiency in video, audio, digital photograph processes, and editing software.
