Job Duties:30The Advanced Practice Provider will support outreach efforts on the Hollings Cancer Center Mobile Unit in various parts of the state. He/she will be expected to perform various duties such as breast exams, pap smears, skin screening, cardiovascular screening, patient education, etc. performed on the mobile unit. Travel Required.Essential35The Advanced Practice Provider will work in the outpatient clinics as an independent provider under the supervision of an assigned attending physician, (breast cancer, GI cancer, melanoma, and sarcoma). Job summary: Under the direction of a departmental Surgical Oncologist, the Advanced Practice Provider will increase continuity of care for all Surgical Oncology patients.

Payscale Salary Range: UNIV-Band 0: Commensurate with experience.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A high school diploma and two years responsible and progressive health care experience and completion of a recognized physician assistant program. A bachelor's degree in a health care occupation may be substituted for two years of the required health care experience.

Minimum Education and Experience Preferred: Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program or Physician Assistant program. Demonstrates an ability to collaborate in a positive, collegial manner with other disciplines.

Licensures, Registrations, Certifications: Graduate of a Physician Assistant training program approved by the Council of Medical Education of the American Medical Association. The applicant must be eligible for PA certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants, Licensed by the South Carolina Board of Medical Examiners. Requires certification in Basic Life Support and ACLS.
