Job Duties:30Perform experiments investigating cellular and molecular mechanisms involved in immune cell function. Utilize cell and molecular biology techniques including but limited to, cell culture, molecular cloning and enzymatic assays; transfections and gene expression assays; protein, RNA and DNA isolation and separation; ELISA; real-time RTPCR; srRNA experiments; immunostaining and flow cytometry; proliferation and apoptosis assays' and immunohistochemistry. Perform data analysis related to these and related techniques.Essential35Maintain laboratory instruments, supplies, and equipment. Maintain laboratory notebooks/records related to protocols, policy and regulation. Coordinate sending biological samples to collaborators.Essential35Perform work involving the use of immunological analysis or genetic analysis of human clinical samples, or small laboratory animals including collecting fluids and tissues; administering drugs and cells; perform cellular, chemical, and DNA analysis of blood and tissue samples; techniques used will include flow cytometry and PCR.Essential

Job summary: We are seeking to hire applicants interested in contributing to research in the field of cancer immunotherapy. The goal of the research group is to develop novel therapies for the treatment of cancer, and also understand the mechanistic basis of why therapies work in some patients but in other patients therapy fails. This position will involve working as part of a team and interacting with both basic researchers and physician scientists, other lab personnel, and learning the latest technologies for both immunological, genetic, and bioinformatic analysis. In addition to contributing to the research, the employee will participate in lab meetings, presentations, and if interested, also have the opportunity to present their research at scientific meetings.

Payscale Salary Range: UNIV-Band 4: $26,988.00 - $38,460.00 - $49,932.00 (min - mid - max)

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: A high school diploma and two years work experience in a clinical or research setting; a bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or other natural, life or health care science may be substituted for the two years of required experience.
